The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) organizes the World Conference on agri-food biotechnology, under the theme :

« Biotechnologies for a Sustainable Future: Driving Agrifood Systems Transformation », from 16 to 18 June 2025 at FAO headquarters, Rome, Italy

In this context, the FAO has launched :

• - A call for abstract poster submissions highlighting advances, opportunities and risks related to biotechnology. Submissions must be made online before April 30, 2025.

• - A biotechnological innovation challenge for young scientists and innovators under the age of 35. The three best projects will be presented at the Conference, with financial support from FAO for travel and accommodation costs.

The deadline for answering the call is set for May 2, 2025, and the deadline for registration for the Conference is May 5, 2025.
