we have the honor to inform you of the launch of a call for applications for the appointment of experts to the Independent International Scientific Panel on Artificial Intelligence (AI) , established in accordance with resolution A/RES/79/325 .      

This Panel, which is multidisciplinary in nature, aims to promote scientific understanding of artificial intelligence through the publication of annual reports, thematic notes and assessments on the opportunities, risks and impacts of AI.

• The Panel will be composed of 40 international experts , with a maximum of two per nationality. 
• The experts will mainly cover the technical, social, political, economic, legal and ethical dimensions of AI.  
• Their mandate will be three (03) years starting in 2026 , upon appointment by the United Nations General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Secretary-General. 

Candidacy

• Candidates will need to submit: a curriculum vitae (CV) , a cover letter , as well as detailed information on their expertise ( publications, distinctions, major projects, etc. ).
